SFL Week 3: Games to Watch

Published on

February 6, 2021 – Bradenton, FL –

The Simulation Football League’s first two weeks of Season 16 are in the books, with more excitement coming this weekend. Several teams are looking for their first win of the season, while there are still a few looking to remain undefeated. These are the games to watch in Week 3:

Baltimore Vultures (2-0) at Denver Nightwings (2-0)

The Season 15 Champion Vultures will travel to Denver to take on Season 15’s regular-season winners in what could be a battle of the two best teams in the SFL this season. Is Denver’s defense, who has only allowed seven points through the first two games, as dangerous as they seem, or will Baltimore be able to figure it out? The showdown in the Mile High City may be considered the Game of the Week.

Las Vegas Fury (2-0) at Los Angeles Lycans (2-0)

Los Angeles forced six turnovers in their Week 2 victory against Houston, which may lead to a defensive showdown in Southern California this weekend. Las Vegas has so far proven that they are a tough defensive unit to face and will look to improve their record to 3-0. It will be all about the defenses during this game, which may lead to a low-scoring game.

Charleston Predators (1-1) at Sioux Falls Sparrows (0-2)

After a devastating loss at home against Arizona in Week 2, Charleston will look to rebound on the road against Sioux Falls, who is coming off a 30-3 loss in a rematch of the Season 15 Championship game against Baltimore. Both teams are coming into this game eager to brush off last week’s results, which may make for an entertaining matchup in South Dakota.

Portland Fleet (1-1) at Vancouver Legion (2-0)

Vancouver comes into Week 3 with the highest-scoring offense in the league, scoring a combined 93 points in their two games. The question surrounding the Legion is if they will be able to keep this pace up, or if it is just a short streak. Portland has played two hard-fought games and will look to go above .500 for the first time this season.
